The City of Canal Winchester invites the community out for a free afternoon of fishing, food, and family fun. The inaugural Community Fishing Day will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Howe Pond Park from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and any fishing supplies they may need. Additional supplies will be available to borrow, while supplies last. Bait will be provided, courtesy of Columbus Wholesale Fish Bait. Volunteers will be on hand to help anyone new to the sport get set up and demonstrate basic instructions. This is a catch and release event.
Free lunch will also be provided, while supplies last, courtesy of the City of Canal Winchester and the BrockStrong Foundation.
Howe Pond Park is located at the end of Howe Industrial Parkway off Diley Road in the Canal Pointe Industrial Park near Meijer. For GPS directions, use 8045 Howe Industrial Parkway, Canal Winchester.
