Urban Forestry

This division of the Department of Public Service provides municipal tree and landscape management for over 4,000 street trees and 17 landscape areas in coordination with the Street Tree Advisory Board (STAB).

The functions of this division include:

  • Tree plantings, replacements and removals
  • Tree removal permitting
  • Woodlands protection
  • Landscape inspections
  • Tree give-away
  • Annual floral displays with nearly 100 hanging baskets & 30 containers of annual flowers
  • Support to Stormwater Division
