Description of Services
The Department of Construction Services provides construction management, contract administration, inspection and testing services for public improvement construction projects within in the Village. Working hand in hand with the various Public Works departments, the Construction Services Department helps assure the residents and businesses of Canal Winchester that high quality public improvements are delivered in an efficient and cost effective manner. The Construction Services Administrator, William Sims, also maintains records, documents and standards related to construction within the public Right of Way.
In addition to the management of projects, the Construction Services Department issues and enforces Right of Way opening permits. Permits are required for any type of excavation or installation within the public R/W. This process helps the Village to protect the public infrastructure and provide for the prudent use of this limited and valuable resource.
