2013 CANAL WINCHESTER SWIM LESSON INFORMATION
Session 1: June 17 to June 27
Session 2: July 8 to July 18
Classes meet 4 days per week Monday-Thursday with Fridays being a make-up day for inclement weather. Note we will hold class if the weather is raining or cool. All class levels will be offered at 3 times in the morning: 10:00 a.m. 10:35 a.m. 11:10 a.m.
Level #1 Tadpole
Water Orientation, safety and developing comfort level in the water. Max 12 students; Min 3 students
Level #2 Beginner
Learning the basics of the strokes, Object is to give students success with fundamental locomotive skills. For the child that can swim unassisted for 10-15 feet but does not put their face in the water. Max 12 students; Min 3 students
Level #3 Advanced
Basic skills for front crawl and backstrokere taught as well as diving. For the child that can swim 15 feet unassisted with their face in the water. Maximum 10 students; Min 3 students
Level #4 Stroke Clinic
Students must be able to swim a minimum of 35 feet of both beginner front crawl and backstroke. The object to this course is to develop confidence in skills learned thus far. Breastroke, sidestroke, butterfly and turning at the wall are introduced. Maximum 8 students; Min 3 Students
