2011 Christmas in the
Village
Canal Winchester’s annual storybook Christmas celebration will be held in the
City's historic downtown on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3. The
Santa Parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday followed by the tree lighting
ceremony at 6:20 p.m. and activities from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the Santa
Parade will start at 4:30 p.m. followed by activities from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Activities will take place on the sidewalks and
streets of downtown Canal Winchester as well as
inside several business establishments around the
City’s municipal office building at 36 S. High
Street. New this year, students from the high school's art department will paint
holiday scenes on many downtown business windows.
Christmas in the Village is a partnership between
the City of Canal Winchester and Destination: Street
Canal Winchester.This free community
event would not be possible without the support of
many local businesses and volunteers.

Santa Parade
route (both nights):
Parade begins at the Madison Township Fire House on Gender Road, turns left
on Gender Rd., left on Dietz Dr., turns left on Washington St., right on Waterloo
St., right on High St. and ends in front of the municipal building at 36 S.
Hight St.
