Art in the Park

Music & Art in the Park is a free summer concert series held the third Friday of the month, May – August in Canal Winchester. Each event is from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Stradley Park Place, just north of the village’s municipal building at 36 S. High Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating at this family-friendly event. Picnics are also welcome; however, alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Canal Winchester’s community center, located at 22 S. Trine Street, serves as the backup location for inclement weather for all concerts except the June 20 event. Anyone who is interested in displaying their car at the classic car cruise-in during the “Blast From the Past” event on June 20 should contact Carrie Hoover at choover@canalwinchesterohio.gov or 614-834-9727. A trophy will be awarded by popular vote for the People’s Choice winner at the event. There are a limited amount of spaces available for the cruise-in, so make sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible!

During the “A Touch of Country” event, area residents and business will have the opportunity to set up tables with products to sell, such as produce, or items to display, such as arts and crafts. For example, someone who makes quilts for a hobby could display her work, someone who has a plot in our community garden could sell the tomatoes he has grown, or a local candle shop could show off candles they make in their store. Tables at the event are limited to local products and are not intended for marketing displays. If you are interested in participating or would like more details, please contact Carrie Hoover at 614-834-9727 or choover@canalwinchesterohio.gov
