Music & Art the Park 2011
Music & Art in the Park is a free
summer concert series held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the third Friday of May, June
and July. The event is held at Stradley Place, located just north of the city
municipal building at 36 S. High Street in downtown Canal Winchester. All events
include live music, a variety of activities and food options. Attendees are
welcome to bring picnics, but alcoholic beverages are prohibited at this
family-friendly event. Portable chairs or blankets are encouraged due to limited
seating. In case of inclement weather, rain dates are set for May 22, June 19
and July 20. Come enjoy live entertainment and a variety of attractions with
family and friends!.

High energy rock and country
style music will be provided by the John Schwab Duo. Other attractions include a
police, fire, military and construction vehicle display, balloon animals, a
“living statue” mime and exhibits by members of the Canal Winchester Art Guild.
A program, commemorative T-shirts and confections will be offered in celebration
of Canal Winchester becoming a city.

2011 (rain date June 19)
Music will be performed by ‘70s
cover band Agent 99. Balloon animals, a caricature artist and the Canal
Winchester Art Guild will also be on site.

July 15, 2011 (rain date July 20)
This event features live‘60s and
’70s music by the Gas Pump Jockeys, a cruise-in and displays by Canal
Winchester’s Art Guild. The crowd will also enjoy a magician and free body art
offered by an airbrush tattoo artist. Participants may register for the
cruise-in from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. the evening of the event or pre-register by
emailing
dmays@canalwinchesterohio.gov. Awards will be given for People’s Choice,
Mayor’s Choice, Sponsor’s Choice, Band’s Choice and Farthest Traveled. Dash
plaques will also be given to the first 50 registrants.
