Canal Winchester Human Services - Senior Transportation Program
Free transportation is provided Monday - Friday for seniors age 60 or older who reside within the Canal Winchester School District. Disabled persons under age 60 may also be eligible for transportation with proper certification from a physician.
Transportation is available for both medical appointments and personal trips. However, medical transportation will be given priority. Transportation must be scheduled at least two full business days in advance with service available for appointments that take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Prior to using this transportation program, the client information sheet and a signed release must be filled out and turned into the community/senior center located at 22 South Trine Street. These documents are available for print below or can be requested from the community/senior center by calling 614-837-8276. Once this information has been reviewed and approved, new clients may begin scheduling transportation.
Canal Winchester Human Services receives support and funding for its Senior Transportation Program from the City of Canal Winchester, Madison Township, The Ohio Department of Transportation, Fairfield County Meals on Wheels, Franklin County Office of Aging, and The United Way of Fairfield County. More information about the senior transportation program can be found in the documents below.
