The Village of Canal Winchester Department of Public Works is proud to own and operate its own treatment facilities. The newly expanded Water Treatment Facility has the capacity of 2.0 Million Gallons per Day. A network at water distribution pipes supply water to all parts of the Village with 4" through 16" main lines and to three water storage towers with 1.4 Million Gallons of capacity.
The Water Reclamation Facility, comstructed in 1999, has a treatment capacity of 2.48 Million Gallons per Day and currently at less then half capacity. Collection mains ranging from 8" to 36" convey wastes to the treatment facility via gravity and through strategically located pumping stations.
The Village also has a Stormwater Utility that administers the Stormwater Management Code to comply with the NPDES Phase II requirements. The Stormwater Design Manual is currently being developed to assist the expansion and relocation activities of business wanting to locate to Canal Winchester.
