The City of Canal Winchester Right of Way use permitting process is to provide for better protection of the public Right – of – way, a valuable and limited resource; particularly with regards to maintenance, repair, relocation, replacement and extensions of existing public and private utility systems.

All utility companies and their contractors shall obtain a right-of-way work permit from the Construction Services Administrator prior to beginning the erection, installation or maintenance, including tree trimming, of any lines or equipment. Right of Way permit applications may be submitted by mail, email or fax. All permit fees shall be paid to the "City of Canal Winchester".

All property owners and their contractors shall obtain a right-of-way work permit from the Construction Services Administrator prior to beginning any new, repair or replacement of sidewalk, driveway or drainage within the public R/W. Right of Way permit applications may be submitted by mail, email or fax.
