  1. Community Affairs

    The Community Affairs Department's mission is to offer current information, engaging local events, and a strong community relationship to Canal Winchester residents, businesses, and visitors.

  2. Construction Services

    The mission of the Construction Services Department is to improve the overall quality of our community through the planning, construction and maintenance of the public infrastructure system; to provide thorough, courteous and professional service to those we interact with; and to protect the public interest as it pertains to construction projects.

  3. Development

    The Development Department's mission is to provide a progressive, responsive, clear, and timely development process that focuses on protecting the public interest and results in a balanced, sustainable community that will allow the residents and businesses of Canal Winchester to prosper.

  4. Public Safety

    The function of the Department of Public Safety is to protect and serve the citizens and help protect property within the City of Canal Winchester. The city utilizes Public Safety for first responder aid, law enforcement, and fire suppression duties.

  5. Finance

    The Department of Finance is responsible for safeguarding the fiscal integrity of the City of Canal Winchester through the development and implementation of sound financial policies and practices.

  6. Public Service

    The Department of Public Services helps keep the City of Canal Winchester moving each day with many areas of responsibility. We clear your streets of ice and snow in the winter, provide safe and quality drinking water, maintain the city's sewer system, manage the city's traffic lights and street signage.

  7. Parks & Recreation

    The Frances Steube Community center is operated by the Community Affairs Department. The Department of Public Service operates and maintains the 225 acres of public parklands and nearly five miles of multi-use paths. The city partners with the Canal Winchester Joint Recreation (CWJRD) to provide recreational programming opportunities.

  8. Union Grove Cemetery

    Union Grove Cemetery, located at 400 Winchester Cemetery Rd. is owned by the City of Canal Winchester, and managed and operated by Oak Leaf Management. To contact cemetery management, please call 614-837-7418. Cemetery office hours: WED - FRI 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM and SAT 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
